Meet Miss Lindsay

My name is Lindsay Langley and I am the Assistant TGS Chef here at TGS! I am from Rhode Island and moved to Tennessee in 2013. I grew up with my mother, grandmother and an older sister. From a young age I have taken care of children. I used to nanny but wanted to try something different and that is when I found The Gardner School. In 2011 I graduated from Bancroft School of Massage Therapy with a degree in Anatomy and Physiology. Before graduating, I became a Certified Infant Massage Teacher (CIMT) and a Certified Pediatric Massage Therapist (CPMT) through the LiddleKidz Foundation. I want the children I teach to be able to learn through toys, books and others around them. I want to help them build their fine motor skills, vocabulary, and teach them to play well with others. I want to be able to expand their minds by reading to them, showing them how to use different toys and teaching them to share with their friends! My goal is for every child to be happy, healthy and feel secure in a safe environment. I want my parents to be able to come to me with any questions concerning their child and to have an open communication between us. My spare time consists of taking pictures, hanging out with my family, playing with my dogs, taking walks, watching T.V. and having picnics. I am excited to start my journey with TGS!

Meet Miss Loftin

I am the Lead Teacher in Acceleration B. I have lived in Nashville for almost two years, but am originally from Memphis. I am an only child with two incredible parents, Tommy and Anne. Being an only child can get pretty boring, but I am extremely close with my extended family. In my spare time I am a die-hard trivia player and avid watcher of all things TV. I graduated from the University of Memphis in 2009 with a B.S. in Elementary and Middle School Education. I was a nanny for a family in Memphis for nine years. Watching their children grow from kindergarteners to high school students is what prompted me to pursue a career in education. I also had many amazing teachers throughout my school years who helped me to unlock a love of learning. I want to be one of those teachers. I am very grateful for this opportunity to teach at The Gardner School! The students, staff and parents are the best.

Meet Miss Madelyn

I have been in childcare for four years now working with children ages infants through elementary school. I attended Indiana Wesleyan University where I obtained a degree in Elementary Education. My goal for my class is to implement differentiated instruction and promote self-exploration to meet all the needs of children. My goals for my children is for each child to know they are important and to create an environment where each one can succeed in their own individual ways. I want to create an open relationship with parents and encourage parent involvement; making myself available to parents to discuss their children’s progress and goals. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading and watching TV. I would describe myself as compassionate, easy-going, honest, helpful and kind. I am so excited to be a part of the TGS team!
